French supplies landed in Dingle
French supplies to insurrectionists landed in Dingle
French ships bearing cargoes of ammunition, provisions and wine arrived in Dingle harbour. The fact that they sold their cargoes to the insurrectionists, quite openly, suggests that Elizabethan forces did not exercise full control in the region.
