The surrender, pardon and restoration of the Knight of Kerry
William FitzGerald, 11th Knight of Kerry, who had surrendered to Sir Charles Wilmot somewhere in the Iveragh peninsula during the previous year, was pardoned and restored to his title, his castle at Rahinnane, and part of his estates by Elizabeth I`s successor, King James I of Ireland and England, and VI of Scotland.
